April 13th: Pasta with the Pastor at 5:00 pm. Dinner will be followed immediately by a worship service at 6:00 pm.
April 14th: Sunday School at 9:30 am. Worship Service at 10:45 am with special music provided by the children. Evening Worship at 6:00 pm.
Sunday April 14th will also be High Attendance Day. Show up to reach our goal and see Pastor Sid get his tie cut off!
Church members interested in LEADING or SERVING in a ministry should contact a member of the nominating committee. There are many places where God can use many talents. All names listed for each church ministry for 2013 will soon be presented to the church for a vote. The vote does not apply to volunteers. ALL ministry leaders are expected to attend the leadership team meetings held the last Wednesday of every month.
This Saturday, December 8th, 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. at church. Come for fun and fellowship as we do a Christmas craft. Bring a snack to share. Please RSVP to Missy so that she knows how many craft items to purchase.
Bring your favorite dishm this Thursday, December 6th, at noon. The lunch will be held in the fellowship hall.
Eastview is happy to announce our two newest members, Sid and Peggy West. Sid was elected as Interim Pastor and we are so pleased to have him! We are looking forward to all that God has in store for Eastview.
Keeping with tradition, Rob has written a wonderful Christmas drama, that is full of laughter and a wonderful message. The drama starts Sunday, Dec. 16th @ 6 p.m. and is immediately followed by a tasting fellowship. Bring your favorite snack and enjoy the wonderful treats others have whipped up. Great food and even better people! Hope to see you all there.
Come watch as the story of Jesus’ birth is portrayed beautifully in our Christmas Cantata, Sunday, Dec. 16th @ 10:45 a.m.
Sunday, December 9th from 5pm-7pm. The kids will be making Christmas cards to be sent to a local nursing home, and to recovering soldiers who were wounded while serving our country. If your family would like to send a card as well, have them bring it to the party, and we will send them out with ours. We will be serving a spaghetti dinner and have other activities planned as well. The children will be doing a gift exchange as well. Please be sure to send your child with a wrapped $1 gift. I hope to see all the kids there as we will have a fun time, while still bringing the focus back to the true celebration of Christmas, Jesus’ birth!
There will be a meeting for any volunteers who would like to help in some way with the Angel Tree this year, December 7th at 7 pm. Try to have your schedule for the week of December the 16th with you. Hope to see you there!
Our Angel Tree is up in the foyer. There are many ways that you can help this year. You can take a tag and purchase the item that is listed, you can donate money or wrapping paper. You can even help wrap gifts or provide refreshments for those who are. Gifts are due back December 16th. Wrapping will be from the 17th-22nd. Help to show God’s love to those in need. Even a small donation can help make a big difference in someone’s life this year!
